MSCM Lab
Multiscale Computational Mechanics Laboratory @ SYSU

The Multiscale Computational Mechanics (MSCM) laboratory focuses on theories and numerical methods for complex systems, such as granular flows and fluid-structure interactions, from micro to MACRO.
This is actually more like a personal website, but I do want it to be the place for sharing the recent progresses of the whole research team.
I am Gengchao Yang at the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Sun Yat-sen University. I work on large-scale numerical simulation of fluid-solid interactions by leveraging modern hardware for massive parallel computing; continuum models for granular systems with physical micro-mechanisms; and computational fluid dynamics aided by data driven methods and physics-informed neural networks. The research outcomes have the potential to solve engineering problems in hazard mitigation, clean energy, and structural optimization.
